Think about your bathroom shelf for a moment.
The shampoo you carefully selected. The conditioner you love. The hair mask you use on Sundays. The cleanser, serum and moisturiser you’ve added to your routine.
You put thought, time and money into taking care of yourself.
And when your hair feels rough after washing, or your skin feels tight after a shower, it’s natural to wonder whether you need a different product.
But sometimes, the answer isn’t simply another bottle.
There’s another part of your routine worth paying attention to: your shower water.
Depending on where you live, your water may contain varying levels of minerals, sediment and disinfectant residues. Hard-water minerals can leave deposits on hair, while long, hot showers and harsh cleansers can contribute to dry-feeling skin.
That doesn’t mean your water is responsible for every hair or skin concern.
But it does raise an interesting question.
If you’re thoughtful about everything you put on your hair and skin, shouldn’t you be thoughtful about the water you wash them with, too?
